Ladder & Scaffolding Safety Warning
Improper use of ladders or scaffolding can result in serious injury or death. Always inspect equipment before use and ensure it is placed on a stable, level surface.
When using ladders, maintain three points of contact while climbing, never stand on the top step or top cap, and do not exceed the maximum weight rating, including tools and materials. Extension ladders must be fully extended, properly locked, and secured before use.
When using scaffolding, ensure it is properly assembled, fully secured, and equipped with guardrails when required. Never climb on scaffolding that is unstable, improperly supported, or overloaded.
Keep all equipment away from power lines and electrical hazards, and always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and recommended safety practices. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used when necessary.
