Humboldt’s Helpful Home & Garden Center

Since our founding in 1996 we have continued to grow and expand. Today, McKinleyville Ace Home & Garden Center holds the distinction of being a Platinum Ace Retailer, ranking #10 in the nation out of nearly 5000 stores. Our paint department ranks #7 in the nation for paint sales and we are the #2 Carhartt dealer in Northern California.

Proudly serving the home and garden needs of our community since 1996. We are proud to have grown with our community for the last 15 years becoming and maintaining the title Humboldt’s Helpful Home & Garden Center

As with most local businesses, McKinleyville Ace Home & Garden Center started small as McKinleyville Ace Hardware, a basic neighborhood hardware store. Opening our doors in 1996, next to what was then Safeway at the corner of Pickett and Central Avenue in McKinleyville we quickly saw that our new community was growing, wanting and needing more than just your basic hardware store. When Safeway announced their move to a new location we seized the opportunity to expand. Renovating the old Safeway building and adding a green house in late 2002 we re-opened our doors in 2003 as McKinleyville Home & Garden Center.

Since then we have hardly sat idle. Dedicated to being Humboldt’s Helpful Home & Garden Center, we have continued to expand our current services and products as well as branch out into new areas such as Carhartt Clothing, Sporting Goods and Housewares. Despite all of our growth and expansion over the last 15 years, we haven’t forgotten our small store roots. We are committed to serving all of our customers; from the seasoned contractor to the first time do-it-yourselfer.
